It just occurred to me how ironic it is that my blog is called BungooStacking. For those of you who don't know, bungoo is a Queensland aboriginal word that means money. To stack bungoo means to make money. At this stage in my life I am doing no such thing. Perhaps, as life goes on I will find ways of making my blog's title true, but for the time being not much bungoo is being stacked. It's a bit disappointing, really. But I guess I'm a student for the time being so being a bit poor is ok.
My brother moved down to Melbourne semi-recently. I realise that I missed the little fucker a lot while we were living in different towns. I've seen him a bit in the last couple of days and we have been doing what we did when we were kids- hang out, play video games and talk shit. I missed doing this kinda stuff. I'm still better than him at video games but he is taller than me now. I will be moving out of my current place of residence in January, so I teed it up with him that I'll move into his place for a bit. Should be good. For the first week anyway. Haha.
I have been listening to these Die Antwoord guys a bit lately. I think they are fucking hilarious. I can't believe how much hate I have seen for them on the internet. I'm not talking about YouTube comments, because as we all know reading those will rot your mind. I've read a LOT of people talking about how the track 'Evil Boy' is homophobic. What the fuck? How is it homophobic? It's about a bloke who doesn't want to be circumcised. To be fair, I can see how it might be viewed as a bit crude; and I can see how having a mostly naked African man rapping about vaguely sexual/crude things could be considered offensive to some, but I really don't think it is homophobic at all. Check the track out, and tell me what you think.
This Brisbane Party Boy seems to cop it a little as well. http://bnepartyboy.tumblr.com/page/1, if you haven't seen it. I think it is social satire done quite well, this guy even goes to the point of intentionally misspelling words. I have entertained the notion that the pseudo-feud between Party Boy and 'B' could just be fabricated to cross-promote both of their blogs. If so, I tip my hat to both of them, but they seem to be fundamentally opposite so you never really know. I follow this guy's blog. If you're from Brisbane, I recommend it. Funny stuff.
That's enough from me for now. Until next time guys, take it easy.
Peace, Rei.

Hi all,
I never thought I would be the type to have a blog. I'm cool with the idea and all but I guess deep down I thought it was pretentious. I've read a few that were funny/cool and I like writing so why the hell not? If nobody reads it then there will be no one to give me shit about it. If someone reads it and they don't like it then that isn't the worst thing either. Maybe someone might even like what I have to say. Stranger things have happened. What can you even hope to achieve from writing one of these things? A pat on the back maybe? Seems unlikely. Maybe I'll just have to settle for the joy and satisfaction of a nice piece of writing. Do people make money off this stuff? Anyways, read this and tell your friends about it. I'll try not to be boring or lame.
So what should I write about then? I can't just pose semi-sarcastic rhetorical questions all day. I guess I'll go on about shit that has happened to me lately. I finished a year of TAFE. Yay. Honestly, it doesn't really feel like an achievement. I really could have tried harder. I don't even know if it will get me a job. Probably not. Maybe if I finish this course and then go to university, then I will be ready. Whatever. Maybe I should just stop being lazy and write some good shit and get it out there.
I am probably too hard on myself. I have come a long way this year. There have been ups and downs. I started the whole writer thing and realized that I enjoy it (whether I am any good at it remains to be seen). Had a big break up. Stopped being a naughty boy. Met some cool people. I even realized that I don't really wanna move back to Brisbane. I started exercising a little bit. That is a big one actually. I meditate a bit, for my anxiety, and exercising is something I have found that helps keep me sane and happy.
Seriously, this meditating stuff is the business. I recommend it to anybody. You can get information on it from many websites or books. I think it is best to get it from a source you trust. If you are down with eastern mysticism, then get in there. If your faith lies in Western psychoanalysis, cool, they have something like it too. Quiet time, breathing, meditation- it's all the same stuff and it's great. Get into it. I have it on good authority that Christopher Walken sits down for fifteen minutes each morning in his airtight glass chamber and contemplates life and the mysteries of the universe. If it's good enough for him, then it's more than good enough for me or you.
Now that I think on it a bit, I know why blogs bother me. It's because I like antagonizing people on the internet, I really do. It's all I really use Facebook for. Maybe this thing scares me. The fact that I'm not strictly joking around all the time, and I'm trying to produce something that people might wanna read. I mean I'm always bagging people out and making fun of people, I think I might be worried that I have a bit of that coming my way. Bring it on. I probably deserve it. I dish it out like a motherfucker so it's about time I got some back.
I gotta hit the hay. I am sick at the moment and I have a test in the morning to make up for one that I missed. I plan to do well. That will restore my confidence in my grammatical abilities. Tomorrow- grammar test. Next week- the world.
Hit me with feedback and whatnot.
Hit me with feedback and whatnot.
Until next time, Peace.
